Just get along!

I wrote an article for an online magazine 2 or 3 years ago. I’m not really a political person, some of the things the politicians say confuses them, so they sure as hell confuse me! Anyway, if you have the time or inclination to read it, please do. The link is

Hope at least some of you agree, even though at the moment, it seems unattainable.

  1. I am going to go to your link in just a minute. I live in Michigan, in the U.S. Not sure where you are from, but currently the government shutdown is a hot mess here. We have cousins that work at the border, that have to continue to work and not get paid during the shutdown. I also just found out that we won’t get our tax returns in a timely fashion because of the shutdown. My family is going to Disney the first week in March, without our tax return (typically upwards of $1500), our family of 8 will really struggle. Now onto reading.

      1. Trump has his panties in a twist because the budget that was put forth to him, doesn’t have a budget for the “wall” that he would like to build between us and Mexico. So…he is trowing a temper tantrum and did a government shutdown. It has already been going on for a few weeks.

      2. LOL…I don’t mind you saying at all. I feel the same and feel that the U.S. really got it wrong. Not me though…I mean my vote was right šŸ™‚ I cried for an entire day after election day, my heart was broken for our country.

  2. Nice article. I too believe that we should all just get along!! One of my very favorite songs in this world is Imagine by John Lennon. When I was little I was singing it and I remember my uncle saying to me that song was everything that was wrong with the world. I remember thinking, the fact that we don’t live like this song is everything that is wrong with the world!! I disagree with some family members politically, LOL and never backed down. Let’s just say that our current presidential situation over here sickens me!!
“You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one”
I am totally OK with being 38 and still have a dream for this to come true!!! Peace

  3. I can see the issue from both sides of the fence. I too believe in helping as much as possible but I can also understand the fear of mass migration and the difficulties of integration. In the US, we have Little Italy and China town and other pockets of insulated culture. When a large group of people move into one area, there is a legitimate concern that they will refuse to integrate. As an immigrant, who live in the US for over half of my life, it can be very hard to give up your culture to fully embrace another. Great article.

    1. Yep, I can see both sides of the argument to, But wouldn’t it be nice to just live peacefully without any sort of fear attached to immigration. Thank you so much for reading it, I appreciate your comment :))
