I’ve just had a bit of a heart to heart with my manager about the job opportunity that I have got a chance of.

She told me she was a little bit disappointed when she was told I was thinking about leaving because she values me as a friend and colleague.

That’s nice 😊 She said she doesn’t want me to leave but wished me good luck with the interview.

It’s nice to know I’m appreciated.

  1. Precisely because you’re valuable, he doesn’t want you to leave and even if he wishes you luck, the reality is that his mind is sending negative vibration so that this interview project doesn’t work out for you. Human beings are like that, what we think and believe we believe in reality .. I wish you all the best again, John, from heart to heartπŸ˜‰πŸ˜˜πŸ€—β€πŸŒŸ

  2. It’s actually so rare to meet such managers. But, luckily I too had many during my career. There were few, who only acted just to impress and hence to retain me.
    You are really lucky.

  3. That’s awesome! Many people quit jobs because they feel unappreciated. It’s refreshing to know that there are employers who appreciate their employees and I’m so happy for you- that you have such a great boss.

About ten years ago, I had a wonderful supervisor who really looked out for his employees and appreciated the work we did. He didn’t work over us, he worked with us. And when he finally put his resignation in because the work environment was so toxic, I understood but felt sad. I ended up resigning as well after that.

We stayed friends and two years later, he even came to the hospital to visit me after I had surgery! Sadly, he passed away from cancer just last year. It broke my heart!

I’m so proud that your supervisor is a leader instead of a tyrant! Good leaders are so few and far between!
