A Light Shadow Around A Celestial Body That Multiples To A Detrimental Effect

A big title for a pain in the arse that goes by the vampiric name of Coronavirus! I have it.

I haven’t been feeling at my best since Wednesday of last week. Aches, pains, cough etc etc etc. I thought I was getting the seasonal flu I always get. Well, now I know what thought did. It thought it had farted but it shit itself!!!

Taste and smell are a thing of the past. However, and I’m not sure if this is good or bad. I have at least the next 7 days off work! I get to spend time alone with the wife! Oh god !! She, Angie, also has it but it hasn’t effected her ‘Talent’ for talking incessantly. Now, where are my earplugs?!?!?!

      1. Best of luck! Hope you feel better soon! I didn’t have any coughing, but the gastrointestinal problems were epic! I am still having some effects 2 years later, but getting much better. I had complications early on…2 months of antibiotics and 4 days in the hospital. Covid is no joke! Take good care of yourselves! ❀ ❀ I am planning on getting my booster shot soon.

  1. Sorry to hear you have this Covid John, it’s no fun for sure. I had it last year and still suffer from long Covid. Hope you get better very soon! That coughing can be tiring in itself. Try to rest the best you can!πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ΊπŸŒž

  2. Holy crap, those are scary words, though: “I’ve got it.” Yikes !!!!!!!!!
I’m seeing you weren’t feeling too bad earlier but then it got worse? Oof. I hope that’s the peak and no more “worse” to come. And I hope your wife bounces out of bed tomorrow and feels 89.9% better too. Good thoughts and all the rest for both of you.

  3. Get well. I’ve always wondered about the experience of permanent loss of taste. It wouldn’t be pleasant… but it seems to me that for someone like me who is susceptible to the temptation os sweets, might be able to each a more healthy diet. There’s texture, of course, that would still influence eating.

I’m concerned even the memory of chocolate’s rich taste might be enough in itself to derail my train of thought…
