Inconvenient Break !!!

I’ve been pretty busy working since the covid virus came to town. We have 2 members of staff at home in isolation and 2 members of staff who have been sent out to work at other care/support services because they’re down to the bare bones!! So I’ve been working all hours, all shift patterns, working from 3 in the afternoon until 7am the following morning. So it’s been hectic.

I apologise for not keeping up with all the amazing blogs I follow but I will get around to it, promise. In fact, as of today, I’ve been told to self isolate for the next 7 days because I have developed symptoms. So I have a forced break from work, one that I didn’t want but one that, if I’m honest with myself, I probably need right now because I’m pretty drained!

So over the next few days I’ll try to catch up with everyone and your blogs.

I’m now worrying how work will cope because my absence puts more pressure on my friends at work.

Anyway, I’ll catch up soon and hope everyone on WP is healthy and we.

Bloody coronavirus!!!!

  1. Good to see you back, but sorry to hear you’re having to isolate. Hope that doesn’t turn into anything. I’m sure the break will do you good, though. Be safe, stay well.

  2. make the most of the seven days!
…because as you know…there will be lots of work when you are back.
We talked about things about five or six weeks ago. We knew that at some point every member of staff was likely to be off work, but we said we are a team and we pull together when things are tough. We have had some awful days but the teamwork has been amazing. I am the last one standing. Every other member of staff has been off at some point.

      1. We’re good thanks John. It’s been a month of boredom. You may have read on one of my blogs that I’m about to start doing deliveries for Morrison’s while I’m not able to teach. It’ll break up the boredom and keep the wolves from my door. Glad you’re feeling better because if it is the virus it can be nasty. Keep taking it easy.

      1. Morning John, we are okay, but I have been stuck in Jersey for 7 weeks on my caring job, it’s live in and I am knackered! Hopefully going home next week. Rich is missing me and it’s starting to get him down now. ❀️

  3. Well that’s a crummy reason to finally get a break. Hopefully whatever it is, your symptoms remain mild enough for you to actually get some much-needed rest. It sounds as though as soon as this isolation period is over you’ll be right back in the fray again. It’s exhausting to be an essential worker right now. Take care. Don’t worry about responding or visiting, just keep us up to date now and again so we know you’re okay.

      1. I’m so glad that you are feeling much better ❀
We're all still physically fine, thanks.
Emotionally it's a little bit iffy, but my little house is still finding reasons to laugh and smile, so we'll be okay. ❀
Hope you have a great weekend πŸ™‚

      2. That’s very good to know you’re ok β™₯️ Actually, I’ve been back at work for about 10 days now, I’ve worked most of those 10 days!! It wasn’t until Wednesday that I remembered I had booked a weeks annual leave that starts today, so I can rest up without feeling ill.
Hope you have a lovely weekend to β™₯️
